A painters paradise in San Miguel de Allende
Located in the colonial city of San Miguel de Allende, renowned artist Elena Ro’s Home Studio was conceived as a refuge for her creative work and her family. From the site selection to the interior design, our team was a strong ally in the conception of her sanctuary. The eclectic design with colonial, Art Deco, and contemporary concepts is an interpretation of modern living in a very traditional setting. The ground floor serves the family and creative work, while the whole second level is a refuge for Elena, peaceful and enclosed in lush jacaranda tree branches. Every space in the house relates intimately to one of the two patios allowing natural light and cross ventilation. The building integrates water treatment systems and is energy-efficient, requiring very little heating and cooling by mechanical means.
This house is an example of active participation from the client, where the client’s eclectic views and our technical expertise merged.
